A full interior transformation of a hand-hewn log cabin tucked in the pines of Happy Jack — honoring its rustic roots while bringing every surface up to date.
Some homes have character you can't manufacture — you can only honor it. The Lion's Den is exactly that kind of place. Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac on Mountain Lion Circle in Happy Jack, this hand-hewn log cabin with its stone foundation and covered porches is the kind of mountain retreat that people fall in love with the moment they see it.
The new owners didn't want to change what makes it special — they wanted to bring the interior up to match the charm of the exterior. That means refinishing the beautiful hardwood floors on the main level, swapping out tired carpet for luxury vinyl plank upstairs, and giving both bathrooms a complete makeover with Arizona Tile floors and showers built to last.
The loft bathroom gets a meaningful upgrade too: we're adding a full walk-in shower where there was none before, turning a half-bath into a fully functional space that makes the loft a real retreat of its own. In the kitchen, new quartz countertops bring a clean, durable surface that feels right at home against the log walls.
We're working in partnership with Denise at HomeCo on all design selections — keeping every tile, surface, and finish grounded in the rustic cabin aesthetic the owners love.
