What areas do you serve? +
We are based in Happy Jack, Arizona and primarily serve the Northern Arizona communities including Happy Jack, Flagstaff, Payson, Prescott, and surrounding areas. Contact us if you're unsure whether we cover your location.
Are you licensed and insured? +
Yes. Ironhorse Designs holds Arizona Registrar of Contractors license ROC #354620 and is fully licensed and bonded in the state of Arizona. You can verify our license at the ROC website anytime.
How long does a custom home build take? +
Every project is different. A custom home typically takes 8–18 months from permit to completion, depending on size, complexity, and current scheduling. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your consultation — we don't overpromise.
Do you handle permits and HOA approvals? +
Yes. We handle all required permit applications and work with HOA design review committees on your behalf. Dealing with the paperwork so you don't have to is part of our full-service approach.
What composite decking brands do you install? +
We are experienced installers for Trex, TimberTech, and AZEK — three of the most trusted names in composite decking. We'll help you choose the right product for your budget, climate, and aesthetic goals.
How do I get a quote? +
Fill out the contact form on our Contact page or email us directly at ironhorsedesignz@gmail.com. We'll schedule a free initial consultation, visit your site if needed, and provide a detailed written proposal.
Can I make changes during construction? +
Yes, with some caveats. We always try to accommodate changes, but modifications mid-project can affect timeline and cost. We'll be transparent about any impact upfront before proceeding with any change order.
What siding products do you use? +
We work exclusively with LP SmartSide and Diamond Kote engineered wood siding — two of the most durable and beautiful products available. Both offer excellent moisture resistance and come with strong manufacturer warranties.
Who will be on-site managing my project day to day? +
Daron Kettler, the owner of Ironhorse Designs, personally oversees every project. You're not handed off to a site supervisor you've never met — you always have direct access to the person responsible for your home.
Do you offer financing options? +
We don't offer in-house financing, but we're happy to work with your lender or construction loan provider and provide any documentation they need. Many clients use construction-to-permanent loans through their local bank or credit union.
